I'm Gabe Radi — Eritrean-American educator, based in Philadelphia. I came to the United States in 1988 on a college scholarship, and I've spent most of my life since then sitting at the intersection of two worlds, figuring out how to navigate both.
Nebai started in 2020 with a single Zoom call and a seven-year-old named Beniam. Before I built anything, I upgraded my computer to 32GB of RAM and kept an old laptop as a backup. That was my first infrastructure investment — because if the connection drops, nothing else matters. I think of it as the cost of keeping human connection stable.
That's still how I run this. Online learning too often drops people into a digital ghost town — courses everywhere, community nowhere. I built Nebai to be the opposite of that. There's always someone at the front desk here. That someone is me.
